I just want to thank you for the performances on Friday at the wedding party for my son Andrew and his new wife Jacqueline The string quartet were superb on the afternoon and all the guests were most appreciative of the content mix; something for everyone. Will you please pass on our thanks. Sitting out in the sunshine listening to such great music and drinking champagne, What more could we want? We had a very special day and the Emerald Thieves band at night were the icing on the cake. So many people commented on the performance and the way everyone was up and dancing from the start. We had a great party and that was exactly what I wanted. Many people have asked for your name and should you ever need a recommendation, I’m sure word of mouth is enough, but I would be delighted to give an unreserved recommendation. Will you please pass on our thanks from all at the Wedding party but especially from the parents of the groom Nick and I who were under pressure to deliver and boy did you!! I hope to be at another venue soon to hear you play and will watch your website for information.
Once again our thanks to you all,
Nick and Carole Brown - Headlam Hall, 18th June 2010
I am the events Co-ordinator at Darlington Football Club, I hired Emerald Thieves to perform at the Stadium for a St Patrick’s Night, on the 20th March 2010. To be honest I didn’t know what to expect, as I found all the information about them on the internet, I took a chance and booked them direct.
Their performance was fantastic; people at the Stadium are still talking about them. They did first 45 minutes Irish music, the fiddler was amazing. Next 45 minutes set, they did requests, and believe me the lead singer can sing anything!! I have booked the band another 4 times since then, 1 of them is for my own nieces wedding.
I would highly recommend this band for any event, Parties, weddings or just a knees up.

'Thank you Rab and The Emerald Thieves for the wonderful entertainment last night, providing your time and talents to help us raise funds for the Huntington's Disease Association.
So many people praised the entertainment..."a real cracking night" was the general opinion. Everyone was greatly impressed with your performance and can't wait to see the band again. We can't thank you all enough'

"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our big day and to have the Emerald Thievesperform certainly added to the grand occasion.
We first watched this band play in Sunderland and were immediately impressed at the variety of songs played (irish and modern pop etc). They got our guests dancing in no time to a selection of tracks that suited people of all ages. Many of our guests commented on how sometimes bands don't always have the ability to get 'everyone' up dancing...well that certainly wasn't the case with the Emerald Thieves....well worth the money if you are planning to book a band for your wedding."

......................................................................................................................................."If you’re a man reading this, the chances are that, like me, you couldn’t give a chuff about what table decorations you’re having at your wedding, or whether to go with the lilac or olive cravats, but the one thing you really do want to get involved in is the music.
For people who like music, choosing a band for your wedding is really hard. Once you’ve trawled through the “professional” wedding bands with their tired, identikit repertoires (Mustang Sally, anyone?) and groups of spotty music students looking to top-up their meagre loans (and snaffle some of your wine on the way out), you’re just about ready to sod the whole thing and settle for one of those pre-programmable jukeboxes.
If you’re struggling to find good music that everyone – including your parents – will dance to, my wife Angela and I can wholeheartedly recommend Rab and the Emerald Thieves.
As a shoe-gazing nineties indy-kid, I really appreciated the fact that Rab and the crew took the trouble to learn an obscure Hurricane #1 song – our song – for our first dance; it really personalised the whole set for us. The rest of the set was a good mix of credible classics from all sorts of different styles (along with the odd curve-ball for good measure), and the band were versatile enough to find something for anyone. The Thieves’ extensive repertoire of songs and genres, mixed with Rab’s laid-back, laconic approach makes agreeing a set list you’re excited about dead easy.
I hope you decide to book the Thieves, I hope your wedding is as much fun as ours was and, most of all, I hope to God you’re a better dancer than me"

'Back on the Map Festival was a great success and would not have been the same without the fabulous performance Emerald Thieves provided on the day.
We have had such positive feedback from the public expressing how much they enjoyed themselves and would like to say a very big THANK YOU to Emerald Entertainment for making this event the success it was'
